Dear Potential Employer,

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I have created it to showcase my capabilities within the professional world, in addition to my intentions of career advancement. By viewing this site, I hope to show you my passion and dedication.

Being it my second year as a college student, I have began to discover the benefits of involvement and the importance of contacts. As a member of several organizations, a full-time summer employee, and a perpetual fashion observer and reporter, it is my next goal to pursue an internship. Gaining the appropriate knowledge and skills before career involvement is a vital part of my future plans.

Biography

Born in 1991, I grew up in loving family as the oldest of four children. Family has always played a large role in my life, and I was taught to hold my academic performance to the highest standards. I graduated in the top ten percent of my class from Monsignor Donovan High School in 2009.

While at The College of New Jersey I have been an an active member in various organizations and am dedicated to maintaining a strong academic standing within the field of Communications. I plan to study abroad in Florence spring 2012 in order to immerse myself in a rich culture while gaining a working knowledge of communication skills.

In my spare time I dedicate myself to fashion research and blogging. I also enjoy photography, crafting jewelry, and running.

Recent Work

Seen here is a trade paper I wrote for my Intro to Media Communications class. The premise of the paper goes to show how the influence of Apple's iPad in revolutionizing the magazine industry.



In addition to the trade paper written for Intro to Media, I also wrote a paper on the Boston Photographs seen here. The paper pertains to sensationalism used within media and the influence of of Stanley Forman's photos.



For my Public Speaking in Business and Government class I had to present a persuasive speech.  Following Monroe's Motivated Sequence, I argued that humans should not consume meat for both biological and environmental reasons.

This is a presentation I composed for my Health Communications Class: A Social Marketing Approach. My group and I spent a semester researching and compiling data in order to market the dangers of Anorexia Nervosa. Included in the project were surveys, flyers, brochures, and a blog for our social marketing approach.Power Point

Work Experience

Over the summer of 2010 I was a part-time employee at Harpoon Willy's Tavern & Waterfront Restaurant. My duties included hostessing, food running (as this was comical being the only female in the kitchen) and making excel spread sheets for operational purposes. I will be promoted as a food sever for the summer of 2011.

I was also a part-time employee at Braggables. Braggables is a photo-insert handbag company which supports pediatric cardiology research. As an employee since June 2007, I have been able to observe the ins and outs of product research and development, manufacturing, marketing, social media, distribution, and customer service.  My responsibilities included creating product spread sheets on excel, managing social media, assisting in trade shows in the tri-state area, running the shipping and receiving department, single-handedly conducting inventory, and modeling. In addition to these two jobs I have also been a babysitter since April of 2007. I was responsible for watching children ranging from 2 years of age to 12. As an ongoing side job, babysitting has made me understand the importance of accountability and responsibility.
